Dear Editor,
Following the publication of our article[1] entitled “A brief overview of imprint cytology in thoracic cytopathology,” the authors wish to correct the corresponding author’s email address. The correct corresponding author email address is:
nikola.gardic@mf.uns.ac.rs
The email address originally published (nikola.gardic@institut.rs) was associated with the research institute where the author is employed. This change is of critical importance for the author’s academic career progression and the formal evaluation of this publication at home Institution. According to internal Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad regulations, published articles are only recognized and formally valued if the email address of the corresponding author bears the university’s domain (@mf.uns.ac.rs).
While corresponding author initially used the email address (@institute.rs) of the research institute where he is employed (which is also an affiliated teaching base of the Faculty), this specific address is regrettably not accepted by the faculty administration for official evaluation purposes.
This correction does not affect the scientific content, results, or conclusions of the article.
We apologize for this error.
Best Regards,
Dr. Nikola Gardić,
Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad, Novi Sad, Serbia.
