Journal News: Appointment of the New Editor-in-Chief.

Dongge Liu

We are delighted to announce that, effective immediately, CytoJournal has appointed Professor Dongge Liu as its new Editor-in-Chief. In the upcoming term, he will be fully responsible for the journal’s academic quality, publication standards, and internationalization initiatives.

Professor Dongge Liu currently serves in the Department of Pathology at National Center for Clinical Laboratories, Institute of Geriatric Medicine, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing Hospital/National Center of Gerontology. He is a highly respected pathologist with profound academic achievements and significant influence in the field. His expertise spans cytologic and histopathologic diagnosis across various organ systems, with particular strengths in gynecologic pathology, fine-needle aspiration cytology, and challenging histopathologic diagnoses. He is currently the Chair of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. In 2019, he received the George L. Wied Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Academy of Cytology (IAC) . He has published extensively in high-impact international journals and has long served as an editorial board member or guest editor for multiple scientific journals. His appointment is expected to further enhance the academic quality, global visibility, and influence of CytoJournal.
